WEEK 3 · NOVEMBER 8 | West Los Angeles, CA | 90-100 min. workshop
Asteya — Non-Stealing
Respecting the property, time, energy, and ideas of others without taking what is not rightfully yours.
This session will be held on Sunday, November 8th and will be in the afternoon (official time coming soon). This session will be 90-100 minutes long. Each session will begin with an introduction to the structure of the workshop, followed by an introduction into the Yama taking center stage that Sunday. Each yama builds naturally upon the previous one. For example, you cannot truly practice truthfulness (Satya) if your words or intentions violate non-harm (Ahimsa). This Sunday we will be diving into Asteya. After the 15 minute introduction, you’ll work independently on how and where you already practice Asteya, and where perhaps you can better implement it more in your thoughts, words, and deeds. We’ll follow the time of personal reflection with group discussion, and then transition into 35 minutes of transformative breathwork. Each session will end with 15 minutes of rest and integration. Blankets, eye masks and hot tea is provided. Please bring your own mat and any other items to make you feel more comfortable in your practice (pillow, crystals, essential oils, etc.).
*For those needing more support, a sliding scale is available for those wanting to participate in this workshop who may not have the financial flexibility to at this time. Please inquire with me directly.
