WEEK 1 · OCTOBER 18 | Century City, CA | 3:00pm | 90-100 min. workshop
Ahimsa — Nonviolence
Cultivating compassion in our thoughts, words, actions, and relationship with ourselves.
This session will be held on Sunday, October 18th and begin promptly at 3:00pm local time. This session will be 90-100 minutes long. Each session will begin with an introduction to the structure of the workshop, followed by an introduction into the Yama taking center stage that Sunday. Each yama builds naturally upon the previous one. For example, you cannot truly practice truthfulness (Satya) if your words or intentions violate non-harm (Ahimsa). This Sunday we will be diving into Ahimsa. After the 15 minute introduction, you’ll work independently on how and where you already practice Ahimsa, and where perhaps you can better implement it more in your thoughts, words, and deeds. We’ll follow the time of personal reflection with group discussion, and then transition into 35 minutes of transformative breathwork. Each session will end with 15 minutes of rest and integration. Blankets, eye masks and hot tea is provided. Please bring your own mat and any other items to make you feel more comfortable in your practice (pillow, crystals, essential oils, etc.).
This is an emotionally vulnerable and charged workshop. Come with an open mind, a willingness to explore what is possible, and curiosity for what may unfold. Bring yourself, bring a friend, it’s time to go within.
*For those needing more support, a sliding scale is available for those wanting to participate in this workshop who may not have the financial flexibility to at this time. Please inquire with me directly.
